Sivananda Yoga is a type of yoga which is based on the teachings of Swami Sivananda of Rishikesh. It is a classical and holistic approach to Hatha Yoga that stretches and tones the whole body. Headstand and shoulder stand are typically included in a Sivananda yoga class. Most of the poses are focused heavily on the different spinal movements so practitioners with any spinal conditions must use their discretion.
